PG&Due east announced Wednesday morning it's moving forward with power shutoffs for 179,000 Northern California customers in burn-prone areas. Officials say the shutoff will begin Wednesday and meet Thursday.
Below is an updated listing of 17 counties slated to lose ability; the list includes cities where the lights are expected to leave and the estimated number of customers impacted. (You can also find outage maps in the gallery above.)
"The shutoffs are expected to begin around 2 p.one thousand. in the Sierra Foothills, three p.chiliad. in the Northward Bay counties, and approximately 1 a.m. Th in afflicted areas of San Mateo and Kern counties," co-ordinate to a argument from PG&E released Wednesday morning.
The "medical baseline" totals represent customers who take reported their medical needs requiring electricity to PG&E. (Note: There may exist people who fall into this category but haven't communicated their needs to the utility.)
